DELETE VARIABLES

It occurs quite frequently that you may wish to get rid of some variables in the data set. This may be either because you wish to analyze only some of the variables or because you have created some intermittent variables which are not needed any longer. There is the option to drop variables by saving the data set and keeping only those variables that are needed for your future work. The command DELETE VARIABLES offers the additional possibility to drop variables without saving your data set at this moment.

Example:

DELETE VARIABLES test_1 test_2.
